In My Blood It Runs: Online screening + Q&A

8 - 18 Dec 2020

“Colonialism is a war that began hundreds of years ago and never ended. Its modern tactics and its weapons are noted with precision in the ferocious documentary, In My Blood It Runs.” – New York Times

Join Skin Deep for a special online screening of In My Blood It Runs + Q&A with the filmmakers.

In My Blood It Runs tells the story of 10-year-old Dujuan, a bright child-healer and skilled hunter who is nonetheless ‘failing’ in school. Made in collaboration with Dujuan and his family, In My Blood It Runs is a story of hope, history and resistance that tackles First Nations education and juvenile justice – and places the missing voice of children front and centre.

Buy your tickets for the film – you’ll be sent a link where you can watch the film whenever you want before 24th December.

Book your spot at the free Q&A – On Tuesday 8th December at 8pm GMT, director Maya Newell (Gayby Baby), producer Rachel Edwardson and Arrernte elder & film advisor William Tilmouth will be in conversation with our very own Anu Henriques (Rocks) to discuss collaborative filmmaking, juvenile justice and Indigenous histories. This event has now ended, but you can watch the full conversation here. https://player.vimeo.com/video/358942768?color=ff9933&byline=0&portrait=0
