Skin Deep are looking for a savvy and creative Social Media & Marketing Manager to manage our Sonic Transmissions Series.

Skin Deep is a creative powerhouse that is redefining culture, amplifying voices of colour through discussions of race, politics and activism. Our online platform, biannual print publication and live events tell the stories others don’t. We collaborate with creatives, musicians, writers, artists and activists to produce and platform original and thought-provoking content which is fresh and accessible.

Skin Deep’s flagship event ‘Sonic Transmissions’ is a series of immersive, exploratory live public listening sessions. Skin Deep: Sonic Transmissions Series will be a series of Sonic Transmissions events across 3 weeks at 3 prestigious arts venues in London, with a focus on women musicians of colour such as Mercury Prize-nominated composer Cassie Kinoshi and all-female dance collective House of Absolute.

Previous Sonic Transmissions events have featured the likes of Ahnansé, Nérija, Brother Portrait, Shabaka Hutchings and Moses Boyd.

For Skin Deep’s inaugural Sonic Transmissions Series, we are looking for a Social Media & Marketing Manager to create top-notch marketing material for each event. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of marketing music-related events
  • Has experience managing multiple social media accounts simultaneously (mainly Facebook, Instagram and Twitter)
  • Has experience managing marketing budgets and distributing spend on social media, online and print assets
  • Has an interest in live music with a focus on UK jazz, R&B and neo-soul
  • Is creative!
